Today we left Chandigarh, and walking 12 kilometers we have arrived in Zirakpur.
We had to spend the morning half of the day for our press conference in Chandigarh. Both print and electronic media attended our press conference. Today, four volunteers came from Regional Tibetan Youth Congress (RTYC) Shimla to walk with us and help distribute pamphlets.
Lobsang la of Sangye Menlha medical treatment aid team organized the press conference for us at the Press Club, Sec 27. Thank you Lobsang la.
On our way to Zirakpur Tibetan Market Association’s President Tashi la came to receive us; he walked with us and led us towards his town. Tashi la said Zirakpur Tibetan Market had been refurbished since 11 years and there are about seven Tibetan families with one Tibetan restaurant.
Chandigarh has three Tibetan restaurants and one spa facility run by Tibetan spa specialist Migmar Tsamchoe la. And the household name for medical service Acha Tsering Dolkar is still serving Tibetans and Himalayan people in Chandigarh.
Tibetan Youth Congress (TYC) members have started initiating the offline signature campaigns in Tibetan refugee camps and nearby Indian villages. This is at the moment running in Puruwala and Bulakuppe Tibetan camps. Tibetan communities and Tibet support groups in Europe and America are slowly initiating the #repealonechinapolicy campaign.
This march from Dharamshala to Delhi, 12 February to 10 March 2021, aims to highlight Tibet as the missing link between India and China. I am appealing to the government of India to #RepealOneChinaPolicy
