It’s encouraging to learn that Tibetan communities in different places in India have initiated activities to collect signatures for this signature campaign, especially by regional chapters of the Tibetan Youth Congress. And in five countries Tibetans, Uyghurs, Mongolians, Hong Kongers, and Taiwanese are initiating #RepealOneChinaPolicy campaign in France, Belgium, Italy, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
Today, we had some changes in the march team: Jamyang who had been with us from day one finally had to go back to write his exams. And Ladakhi Sonam, who had been with us from Chandigarh also returned. So we bid them farewell.
Tomorrow, the core march team Tenzin Oesel and Namdol will move on, while my friends Sonam Tobgyal and Tenzin Leckphel will join to support the march and logistics.
Today, on the road we met Tseten Norbu of the National Democratic Party of Tibet and Lobsang la, Vice President of Tibetan Youth Congress. Then, in the early afternoon, a group of supporters visited us coming all the way from Clement Town and Dickeyling Tibetan camps in Dehradoon (see pictures).
Today we covered 23 Kms passing through Mohra, Mohri, and Subash Nagar and camped at Shahbad. Tomorrow we will camp at Kurukshetra, the legendary battlefield of the Mahabharata epic story.
